Going Home

Went home this weekend. First time in the semester. The drive going there wasn't too bad, I-80 sucked, it was foggy and I had snow blowing at me most of the way, then I crossed the imaginary line dividing Colorado and Wyoming... Colorado was nice, sunny, and warm! Warm!! I was thrilled, Laramie has been rather... chilly. Hit the usual traffic on I-25, not bad though. Got home and met the two new dogs. Two Great Pyrenees, Kyna and Fallon. They're gorgeous and so sweet! I love them! Got to see mom again! And my kitties, Izzy and Willa! Willa was pissed at me most of the time... Can't say I blame her... I left her to go to college. Got to sleep in my own bed... MY bed. It was so nice, don't know how I'll get to sleep tonight... I probably won't, especially because I mixed coffee into the mix and I haven't had caffeine in quite some time. Anyway, go to bed and wake up to here something about snow. I look out my window after lounging in bed for a while to see about 3 inches of snow on the ground... and to think yesterday was warm. Got ready and took a real shower. (My dorm showers suck! It's a little square space and hard to move in, let alone shave...) Go downstairs and eat leftover Chinese. Have to go out and scrape off my car for the first time. Go back inside and wait for Laura because after we drop off my car to get new tires we're going to go shopping because I want to, this doesn't happen. But I needed winter clothes. We drop the car off and head to the mall, I actually get clothes (took a couple stores but I got em AND they're not all black) Laura and mom do their show shopping for warm shoes, one for the office and the other for standing outside. Find nothing. We get done shopping and pick up my car in which I have a mis-communication and I head home while mom and Laura go to Famous Footwear... They came back and picked me up. Still find nothing. Go home and play Uno and eat Green Chili stew and fry bread, best meal ever! Play more Uno. I go to bed and wake up Sunday and lounge in bed for while. Feels so nice to be in MY bed. Didn't want to get up. Went downstairs and had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Greatest breakfast! So good to have real food and not Washakie food... Play more Uno then look at road conditions and we (mom, Ted, and I) decided they should drive up with me because the roads SUCK. We get on the road and all is well until we try to get on I-80 at Cheyenne. Big long line of semi-s just sitting. Mom calls Wyo Dot and finds out I-80 is closed. So we pull into Cheyenne and wait. Only wait for about 15-20 minutes and I-80 is open again. We get on the road and have little visibility, with a good helping of wind and ice. Mom drove that stretch. Got to my room and unpacked. Got a text from Coleman and decided we'd hang out later in the evening after I get my history paper done... Yeah, I get all the notes I need done then decide I'll do it later and meet up with Coleman. He dropped me back off around an hour ago and I am still procrastinating on the paper... I have one paragraph done. Thankfully it's really easy and I have all I need, i just need to write it. After I post this, I'll get it done. That's been my weekend. Very fun... didn't get a whole lot of homework done but oh well, don't care. I had fun.
